Will your computers work on the 9th of March?

More than 3 million computers worldwide and about 500,000 in the US are still infected with the DNSChanger Trojan. DNSChanger hijacks Internet searches and prevents users from removing it.

The servers controlling this network were taken over under a court order that allows them to continue to operate until March 8th to give infected users time to fix the problem. The security firm handling the project says the Trojan is still infecting at least half of Fortune 500 firms and U.S. Government agencies.

On February 15th U.S District Court officials asked to extend the deadline by more than 4 months, but a majority of security experts are opposing the extension.

If the extension is not granted and you are infected you will not be able to reach the Internet on March 9th!

You can check your computer’s DNS setting by following these simple instructions.
